SUMMARY:Forest Restoration Work Day Fall 2024
DESCRIPTION:The forest on the AUM campus is full of invasive plants, such as privet, mimosa, popcorn trees, and Bradford pears. As part of a long-term restoration effort, the Rural History and Ecology Research Institute is holding a workday to remove these plants from the AUM forest. To help with this project, please join us from 9 A.M.- Noon at the bridge leading to the forest. Bring water, wear appropriate clothing and shoes for the outdoors, and anything else you may need for a morning in the woods. Long pants and sleeves are highly recommended! Please register for this free event, and contact Dr. Vanessa Koelling (vkoellin@aum.edu) if you have questions.\n
