The Certificate in Human Resource Administration provides students with the skills to oversee human resource administration issues in public agencies and nonprofit organizations. Courses in the certificate program cover personnel selection, employee motivation, skill and technical competencies, legal and regulatory issues, and the importance of personnel administration in the evolving organizational environment. The primary objective is to provide students with the training to lead and manage the personnel side of public agencies and nonprofit organizations.
The Certificate in Human Resource Administration is offered as part of the Master of Public Administration program. The program is accredited by NASPAA – the Network of Schools of Public Policy, Affairs, and Administration – the accreditation body of public affairs graduate programs. The online certificate program is open to those who have completed a bachelor’s degree even if they are not currently enrolled in the Master of Public Administration program.
