Qassim Bolaji

Qassim Bolaji is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Criminal Justice & Sociology at Auburn University at Montgomery (AUM). His research interests include environmental criminology, public perceptions, legal orientations and attitudes towards criminal justice institutions, and desistance and rehabilitation.


Dorcia Bolton
Associate Professor | College of Business
Dorcia E. Bolton is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at Auburn University at Montgomery. Her research centers on theory development for marketing strategy and empirical testing at the intersection of consumer behavior and marketing strategy. Her research portfolio encompasses a variety of projects aimed at tackling pressing marketing challenges, particularly within the dynamic landscape of evolving technology and firms’ ongoing pursuit of competitive advantage. Her research has appeared in leading marketing journals and conferences such as the Journal of Marketing Theory of Practice, the Journal of Consumer Marketing, the Academy of Marketing Science, the American Marketing Association, the Society for Marketing Advances, and the Association for Consumer Research.

Nick Bourke
Chair, Associate Professor | College of Education
Dr. Nicholas Bourke is Department Chair and professor at Auburn University at Montgomery in the College of Education-Department of Curriculum, Instruction, and Technology. Dr. Bourke is the Chapter Counselor for the Education Honor Society, Kappa Delta Pi, and is heavily involved in creating meaningful clinical experiences for his students. His research interests include documenting impacts of nonformal education experiences and elementary environmental education. Before coming to Auburn University at Montgomery, Nicholas served as a classroom teacher for 22 years in a variety of settings including public and parochial schools. His teaching duties revolved mainly around science and math instruction with students ranging in age from 4th-9th grades.

Kim Brackett
Associate Dean; Professor | College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences
Dr. Kim Brackett, tenured professor of Sociology in the Department of Criminal Justice and Sociology, is Associate Dean for the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences. She is the faculty sponsor for the Sociology Honor Society, Alpha Kappa Delta, and is currently serving as the National President-Elect. Her research and interests include religion and family life, relationship formation, and gender. She is a past recipient of both the AUM Distinguished Teaching Professor and Distinguished Service Professor awards.
