Cultivating Inclusion in STEM: Imagining the Future
Join us as we explore barriers to inclusion embedded in the content and culture of the introductory STEM experience, encountered through an immersive year-long study of introductory biology, chemistry, mathematics, and physics courses.
- What choices do educators have in how we introduce students to STEM?
- How can we change our practices and our mindsets to promote broader achievement of STEM learning goals?
- How will we prepare ourselves for a more inclusive future?
Lunch (Little Donkey) and Interactive workshop “Structuring Courses for Success”. will be held at the Science Teaching Complex, Room 1014 from 11 A.M.- 3 P.M.
We will work together to identify barriers to success across courses and curriculums and work to lower those barriers so students, can more easily navigate the introductory college experience. All are welcome to attend, however people working with freshman will find this workshop the most helpful.
