Warhawk Weekly 9-24: Best regional university; Graduate Studies Preview

U.S. News recognizes AUM as one of South’s best colleges
Auburn University at Montgomery maintained its standing as one of the best regional universities in the South, according to U.S. News & World Report’s newly released 2025 Best Colleges survey.
AUM placed No. 32 overall among public regional universities in the South and 65th overall among its peers. AUM’s nursing program was also included on the website’s list of the Best Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing programs.
AUM earned a No. 29 ranking as one of the Best Colleges for Veterans in the South and placed No. 55 among Best Value Universities in the South. The university also earned placement among the top performers for “Social Mobility,” which measures success in supporting and graduating students who receive Pell Grants.

Cheer on AUM Athletics
AUM’s volleyball team will have a three-match homestand, beginning with Thursday’s 6 p.m. battle against Gulf South Conference rival West Alabama at the AUM Athletics Complex.
Thursday’s game is Faculty and Staff Appreciation Night. Join us for the pre-game on Thursday while players recognize selected faculty and staff that they feel have made an impact on them during their time here at AUM.
The Warhawks (3-6) will then host Mississippi College Saturday at 2 p.m., followed by a Tuesday (6 p.m.) match-up against Valdosta State. Here’s a look at what’s happening on other sports:
Men’s soccer: The fifth-ranked Warhawks (2-0-3) will host Gulf South Conference foe Lee University Friday night at 7:30 p.m. at the AUM Soccer Complex before a Sunday home match against Trevecca Nazarene (3:30 p.m.). The Warhawks have given up just one goal in their five matches.
Women’s soccer: AUM improved to 2-2-1 after a 1-1 tie against Georgia College last week. The Warhawks will host Lee Friday at 5 p.m. and Trevecca Nazarene Sunday at 1 p.m.
Cross country: The men’s and women’s cross country teams will compete Saturday at Valdosta State.

Warhawk Health Services recently began offering flu vaccinations for students, employees and dependents 6 months and older.
There is no charge for individuals with Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance. The cost for other insurance plans or uninsured individuals is $25.
No appointment is necessary. Visit Warhawk Health Services in Moore Hall during clinic hours – 8 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
