Ben Rogers

Bio: Ben Rogers is a biology lab coordinator for beginning biology labs at AUM. His primary area of interest in biology is birds of prey. He studied the dynamics of a winter bald eagle roost in Arkansas for his master’s degree under the Dr. Douglas James at the University of Arkansas. He is a former zoo keeper, and has also worked for the Peregrine Fund’s aplomado falcon re-introduction project in southeast Texas. Some of his other research work involved Mitchell’s satyr butterfly surveys, salamander body sizes, and sexual dimorphism in red-tailed hawks.
He maintains a strong interest in biology education, along with a fascination for weird insects and fossil hunting.

Agnitra Roy Choudhury
Associate Professor | College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences
Dr. Agnitra Roy Choudhury is an Associate Professor in the Economics department. Dr. Roy Choudhury received his PhD and MA in Economics from Binghamton University. His training is in applied microeconomics and applied econometrics. His research interests include studying the impact of regulations on health care, labor markets, and entrepreneurship. Currently Dr. Roy Choudhury’s research includes analyzing scope of practice regulations, Certificate of Need laws, and determinants of promoting entrepreneurship. His research papers have been published in peer-reviewed journals like Vaccine, Economic Letters, Applied Economics Letters, Health Policy, and Journal of Risk & Financial Management.


Mariano Runco
Associate Professor | College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences
Dr. Runco has been at AUM since 2009, after finishing his Ph.D. in economics at Arizona State University. He specializes in Microeconomic Theory and Empirical Economics and he teaches the econometrics sequence in the Master’s in Applied Economics program. He has also worked in the area of the Economics of Regulation. He is also actively involved in the business community as the president and owner of a real estate company in Montgomery, Alabama.


Angela Russell
Assistant Professor | College of Education
Dr. Angela Russell is an Associate Professor in the Department of Kinesiology and also serves as an advisor for the Outdoor Adventure Club and the Human Performance Research Group. Dr. Russell received her PhD in Human Performance from the University of Alabama and focuses her research on sport performance and body composition, including bone density and hydration status, in both general and special populations.

Randy Russell
Assistant Professor | College of Sciences
Randy Russell is the Advisor for Pre-Physical Therapy studies. Additionally, Mr. Russell instructs students in Astronomy, Introduction to Physical Sciences, and Physics.
