Deanne Allegro
Assistant Professor | College of Education
Deanne Allegro’s experience in the profession of nutrition ranges from training on USDA nutrition survey tools at the USDA Beltsville Agricultural Research Center as a NIH Research Trainee, to leading a state-wide food security survey as part of a national research study seeking to understand how COVID affected food availability, to owning and running a true farm to table restaurant. Through all of these experiences, she is uniquely able to provide students with skills and opportunities to understand the vast field of nutrition.

Dr. Brett Davis is a faculty member specializing in exercise science and human performance. He teaches courses in exercise physiology, health promotion and wellness, fitness assessment and exercise prescription, with a focus on applying evidence-based practices in both clinical and sport settings. His academic work emphasizes bridging the gap between scientific research and practical application for students pursuing careers in health, wellness, and athletic performance.

Dr. Cornell Edison Foo is a Professor in the Department of Kinesiology. He teaches an array of courses at both the graduate and undergraduate levels; Ethical Issues in Sport, Sport Finance, Facilities Management of Sport Venues, Leadership in Sport Organizations, Sport Marketing, Sport Sociology, and Psychology of Czoaching rank among the courses that have been led under his guidance. The focus of his research is on sport migration, and the recruitment of primarily international student athletes. Other areas of interests are in service quality and facilities management, the evolution of sport marketing, leadership theory, and most recently, the abuse and discrimination of game officials.

Erin Reilly
Professor | College of Education
Dr. Erin Reilly earned her Ph.D. from the University of Kansas, 2001, Physical Education with an emphasis in Sport Sociology/Sport Psychology. Her current research interests are the effects of neuromotor exercise on cognitive function in children and remediation programs.

Angela Russell
Assistant Professor | College of Education
Dr. Angela Russell is an Associate Professor in the Department of Kinesiology and also serves as an advisor for the Outdoor Adventure Club and the Human Performance Research Group. Dr. Russell received her PhD in Human Performance from the University of Alabama and focuses her research on sport performance and body composition, including bone density and hydration status, in both general and special populations.

George Schaefer
Professor | College of Education
Dr. George Schaefer is a professor and Chair for the Department of Kinesiology. Before coming to Auburn Montgomery, he worked within the business operations of a minor league baseball team and served in the public schools as a physical education teacher, coach and assistant athletic director. Dr. Schaefer’s research interests include risk and legal issues within sports and physical education as well as sport sales and marketing.

Andria Walker
Clinical Associate Professor | College of Education
Andria Walker is a Physical Education specialist with over 20 years teaching experience, including 8 years in K-12 education. She understands the importance of quality physical education programming in schools and desires to develop a love of daily physical activity in all learners. She serves as Faculty Advisor for the Kinesiology Majors Club and AUM Department of Kinesiology Fitness Test Coordinator.
